Christmas magic and brotherly rock at Blas de Otero: HANG OUT's NavidRock special

The Christmas spirit was summoned with the finest rock-and-roll attitude at a very special gig. HANG OUT took over the Blas de Otero Cultural Centre for an unforgettable Christmas show where the music, the closeness and the warmth of friends turned the venue into a real home from home.

A full house, and our lead guitarist off on his travels

From the very first moment you could tell it was going to be a night to remember: the venue was packed to the rafters with friends of the band, creating a warm, family atmosphere that gave its all with every chord.

On stage, the band once again delivered their trusty setlist — in keeping with their usual live shows. This time the line-up was still without its lead guitarist, who was away on a family trip. Far from being a setback, the group covered his absence with authority, punch and an on-stage chemistry beyond all doubt.

The special touch: María's chemistry and some acoustic sparkle

The turning point of the night came halfway through the gig, when the band invited a great friend of theirs, María, up on stage. She brought a tremendous freshness and treated the crowd to two utterly magical moments.

First, they tore through a fantastic, high-energy version of the classic «Put a Little Love in Your Heart», filling the room with good vibes.

Then the atmosphere drew in and filled with emotion for a delicate acoustic take on Metallica's «Nothing Else Matters», where the voices and the nuances left more than a few people misty-eyed under the Blas de Otero lights.

Grand finale: nibbles, laughs and brotherhood

After the last chord and the crowd's final ovation, the party carried on beyond the stage. Band and friends decamped to the bar inside the cultural centre itself, where they all tucked into some well-earned nibbles together. Between pints, laughs, stories and hugs, the night stretched on with plenty of easy-going chat, celebrating good old-fashioned music and what being among friends is really all about.

A perfect evening to round off the year with the taste of victory and the HANG OUT family closer than ever.
