HANG OUT: unstoppable momentum at Monkey Rock
The calendar read 20 September 2025 when HANG OUT returned to the stage for their second official gig, this time at Monkey Rock. If the night made one thing clear, it's that the band have taken an obvious leap forward: the miles on the clock are starting to show, the stagecraft is being earned the hard way and the overall sound has gained an enviable solidity.
A tried-and-tested setlist you can bank on
This time round the band stuck with the same songs as at their previous outing, proving that the classics work a treat and that they're delivering them with more swagger every time.
The roar of HANG OUT at Monkey Rock
With the opening chords of «Blitzkrieg Bop», HANG OUT cast off and launched their set in style. The band are still playing without a lead guitarist — the signing is already sealed, but they'd rather rehearse properly and make the move with confidence at a proper gig. Far from being a handicap, though, they proved once again that what they've got is more than enough to tear the place apart. They delivered the songs in fine style, hitting hard and with a commendable attitude.
The crowd responded brilliantly: Monkey Rock was more than 70% full, an excellent turnout and one well worth noting for a band taking its first steps at only its second official gig. Pure, direct rock, no nonsense, no frills, straight to the jaw.
Closing the night: the stoic resistance of CRANEAL
After the HANG OUT storm, the night carried on with CRANEAL, the original-material project led by Borja, HANG OUT's rhythm guitarist.
They served up a much denser, more personal brand of hard rock. Perhaps the late slot didn't help, and Monkey Rock gradually emptied as the small hours crept in; even so, true to themselves and flying the flag «stoically» — as that legendary Atlético fan once put it — they showed off their musical quality and an unshakeable commitment on stage.
All in all, a night of growth, consolidation and seriously good rock that confirms HANG OUT are on the fast track to success.
